Does Mederma work for hypertrophic scars?
Well, is not it? I got hypertrophic scars on the backs of the poor by having acne. My doctor says it will go away with time, but I heard Mederma and thought, if this would work. Nor is any other remedy for hypertrophic scars?
My daughter has filed a hypertrophic scar on the neck and neck area of less than one airway when they are in a near fatal car accident in a coma, and for 3 months. She had a trachea in about 5 months. Nurses recommended Mederma, which we do not use. I'm not sure whether the Mederma helped the scars a little flat, not completely or whether it just the natural healing process. The Mederma not fade the redness. I do not know how long you have the scars, but the key for were to treat this type of scar, is time. You have to start working almost immediately to them. Pressure on them will help in flattening them. All in all, I feel that the Mederma did not help and it certainly can not hurt to try. But you have to use it every day and we will be several times a day.
