I have acne only on my forehead and I have my period maybe 1 or 2 times every 5 months is it due to hormones?
Im scared of birth control and i dont know if hormone replacement therapy is right for me. Im only 17 years old and i just wish to find something to help me.
Hi Lisa, don’t take hormones, birth control causes problems of it’s own…unless you actually need it for preventing pregnancy…
About acne on the forehead, if you have bangs you may need to wash your hair more, or condition it less. It could also be a reaction to a hair product that you use.
Eating less fat will reduce the oil content of your skin. Use a clean rinsing soap twice a day. Keep your hair clean, keep your clothes clean, keep your bedding clean, especially your pillow.
Don’t touch your face at all and ideally, don’t wear makeup. Eat heathy fresh foods, especially fresh veges and fruits and whole grains. Avoid white flour, white sugar, white rice and butter, as well as foods that contain them. Drink plenty of water (not soda, juice or milk) every day and get adequate sleep and exersize.
Everything I’ve said above will probably also help with the irregular period, but I wouldn’t worry so much about that. I had irregular periods for my whole life, maybe 5 or 6 periods a year, until my mid 30s when it finally got regular. It was actually nice to not have to worry about it as often as my friends.
